Membership Benefits
The Northern California PGA Junior Golf Tour is designed to develop leaders in golf and in life. As an eTOUR or iTOUR member you will receive many types of benefits.
The 2010 Membership Kit:
You will receive your 2010 Membership Kit at the first event of the year. If you wish to receive your kit prior to this date, you must indicate this on your registration form and the appropriate postage will be applied to your fee. This kit contains items essential for your success as an eTOUR or iTOUR player. There are also items for your enjoyment as well. Each NCPGA Junior Tour member will receive exclusive Junior Tour items including golf towel, decal, gift box containing ball markers and divot tool, bag tag, tee pack, USB drive which contains the 2010 Tour Manual, USGA Rules of Golf Book and sunscreen provided by Sun Safe Tee.
Score Posting on Junior Golf Scoreboard:
For all eTOUR players, each 36-hole score will be posted to the Junior Golf Scoreboard following each competitive round. In 2010, the NCPGA Junior Golf Tour will request for AJGA (PBE) Player Based Entry for some of our events and for Golfweek Segarin/Index postings. These ranking structures are designed to give our eTOUR players the ability to gain national exposure for college golf opportunities.
PGA Professional Honorary Starter:
The NCPGA Junior Golf Tour is a service of the Northern California PGA Section and its 1,150 members and apprentices; therefore, we want our players to know PGA Professionals support their efforts by being present as starters each day of the competition.
Live Scoring:
A live-scoring area will be provided on hole # 9 for all regular season events, allowing players to track their progress. Junior Golf Tour staff/volunteers will manage these stations, updating scores as they come in. During our Tour Championship, we expect to update scores hole-by-hole.
On-site Interviews:
Players backgrounds and accomplishments will be celebrated through player interviews. These will be both by video and in person for the purpose of creating tour videos and press-releases to local and regional publications. Pre-event interviews will also be conducted for previous champions or outstanding student-athletes.
Family Involvement:
The NCPGA Junior Golf Tour encourages and welcomes family input and participation. The major example of this involvement starts with your presence as a caddie for your player on either the eTOUR or iTOUR. Each caddie will check-in with their player and be given an official caddie bib with their player's name on the back. We want you to be a part of your son's or daughter's journey through this Tour. This is where the NCPGA Junior Golf Tour is most different from other forms of junior golf competition.
National Qualifying Events:
In its first year, the NCPGA Junior Golf Tour will offer its members the opportunity to compete in a national level qualifier: the 35th Junior PGA Championship. Players who place well and qualify in these events will be allowed to participate in the national level championship. Please refer to the NCPGA Junior Golf Tour Manual as well as Tournament Schedule to learn the dates of these events.
